The role
We’re looking for a seasoned Commercial Leader to join our dynamic and results-driven commercial team. In this pivotal role, you will drive growth for our data-driven Exchange by strategically engaging and converting both new and existing customers, all while steering us toward achieving our ambitious premium traded targets.
Here are the key responsibilities of this role: - Identify, qualify, and convert a robust pipeline of growth opportunities. Take ownership of the sales pipeline, ensuring its health and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Scope and negotiate opportunities with both new and existing customers, delivering value that meets client needs while achieving individual and team targets.
- Pursue a results-oriented approach, balancing personal performance with broader company goals. Focus on fostering relationships across the insurance industry to identify new product opportunities and expand existing verticals.
- Continuously seek to expand and enhance existing opportunities. Leverage customer feedback to propose impactful solutions using InsurX’s data and technology.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Commercial team's marketing collateral and ensure a compelling presence in the marketplace.
- Act as an ambassador for InsurX at industry conferences and events, building strong relationships and enhancing visibility.
- Validate and shape new product opportunities with both existing and prospective customers. Collaborate with data and technology teams to create scalable execution plans.
- Motivate and develop team members, fostering a culture of high performance. Take ownership of their career development, set ambitious yet achievable goals, and provide constructive feedback to enable growth.
About you
Here’s what we think the ideal candidate for this role looks like:
- Demonstrated success in owning and exceeding ambitious commercial targets within a B2B environment, encompassing the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing.
- 10+ years’ experience in the London insurance market.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be able to confidently communicate with internal and external stakeholders up to C-suite level.
- Bring a motivated and self-starter attitude to your role - you'll take ownership of both your own success, and that of the team’s, and will be empowered to do so.
- Experience supporting and developing other team members. Share your knowledge and experience to the mutual success and development of the team.
- Be comfortable operating and leading in a constantly changing landscape - we're looking to change the market so you need to be able to pivot and flex dynamically to deliver to a moving target.
- Effective prioritisation. You’ll have a lot of competing opportunities and priorities – it’s important you are proactive in validating both yours and the teams’ targets to maximise revenue opportunity.
