The role
Since signing up our first partners in late 2022, we’ve processed $100M+ of premium with 27 broking houses and 22 insurers. We’re targeting $1B of premium to flow through our Exchange by the end of 2027.

Our data and technical capabilities have grown rapidly to support this ambition. The next challenge is unlocking their full commercial potential by embedding data into sale, account management and trading operations.

To do this, we’re looking for a Data Product Manager (DPM) with fintech, InsurTech, or scale-up experience to help transform strong analytical foundations into commercially impactful products. This role will sit at the intersection of data, product, trading ops, and commercial, driving prioritisation, execution, and alignment across functions.

The DPM will champion product thinking and execution velocity, ensuring we focus on high-impact initiatives that accelerate GWP growth, improve indexation, and make data an indispensable part of our go-to-market engine.

 

Responsibilities

1. Productise Data to drive GWP growth

  • Own and develop data-driven products and insights that directly impact revenue and broker/carrier engagement.
  • Identify commercial opportunities within data (e.g., broker analytics, underwriting intelligence, risk scoring models).
  • Work closely with the Trading Ops and Commercial teams to prioritise data initiatives that drive revenue.

2. Prioritisation & execution

  • Cut through inefficiencies and ensure we focus only on high-impact data initiatives.
  • Develop a clear roadmap for data productisation that aligns with InsurX’s GWP target.
  • Drive rapid execution cycles, ensuring minimum viable data products (MVDPs) are delivered in weeks, not months.

3. Bridge Data, Engineering & Commercial Teams

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure data is embedded into InsurX’s platform and trading strategies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to improve data pipelines, data quality, and automation.
  • Influence the Commercial team on how to sell and market data-backed insights to brokers and carriers or leverage our data capabilities to sell, upsell and cross-sell. 

4. Improve Data scalability

  • Develop a scalable data strategy to increase revenue from broker/underwriter partnerships.
  • Ensure all data efforts translate into commercial value and not just reporting.

5. Data governance & strategy 

  • Implement a systematic approach to managing, distributing, and visualising data.
About you
  • Data PMs or PM with a previous background in Data from high-growth Fintech, InsurTech or B2B SaaS
  • Deep understanding of data science, analytics, and data engineering concepts.
  • Experience working in high-growth startups or scale-ups with a strong commercial focus.
  • Track record of driving data product adoption in organisations with low initial product maturity.
  • Ability to cut through noise, prioritises high-impact data initiatives, and delivers fast (weeks, not months) without corporate overhead.
  • Proven ability to turn data into commercial products (e.g., risk models, underwriting tools, broker insights).
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to work with commercial, engineering, and trading teams.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools, data platforms, and analytics solutions.
  • Startup mindset: bias for action, ability to work with ambiguity, and results-driven.
